Treatment Programs

A full continuum of evidence-based care for lasting recovery.

PTWY Rehab offers comprehensive treatment programs designed to meet each individual where they are. From medical detox through outpatient care, our clinical team provides personalized, evidence-based treatment at every stage of recovery.

Medical Detox

Medical detox at PTWY Rehab typically lasts 3 to 7 days, with licensed medical staff on site around the clock. Withdrawal from alcohol, opioids, and other substances can be physically dangerous, so we provide continuous monitoring and medication-assisted treatment to keep you safe and as comfortable as possible.

Detox is the stabilizing first step, not the whole journey. As soon as you are medically ready, our team transitions you directly into residential or outpatient care so the momentum of those first days carries straight into lasting recovery.

Residential Treatment

Our residential program runs 30 to 90 days in a structured, immersive environment on our Moorpark campus. Days are built around learning — psychoeducation, addiction-science workshops, and guided workbook exercises — alongside individual and group therapy, creative arts, and mind-body practices.

Patients live on site with access to private rooms or shared suites, the heated therapy pool, greenhouse, and outdoor yoga deck, while clinicians deliver individualized care grounded in research.

A Typical Day

PTWY Rehab's daily structure is learning-focused: patients leave understanding the science of their own recovery, which research links to better long-term outcomes.

Outpatient Program

PTWY Rehab offers two outpatient levels: a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) of 2 to 4 weeks and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) of 8 to 12 weeks. Both let you keep working, stay near family, and apply what you learn in real time, with the structure of regular clinical sessions.

Because we are based in Moorpark, outpatient care is genuinely accessible for Ventura County residents — no daily long-distance commute to attend sessions. It works as a step down from residential treatment or as a starting point for those whose lives and support systems allow recovery while living at home.

Dual Diagnosis

Dual diagnosis means treating addiction and a co-occurring psychiatric condition — such as depression, anxiety, or PTSD — at the same time, by the same team. Research consistently shows that treating only the substance use while leaving the underlying condition unaddressed is among the most common reasons recovery does not hold.

Our psychiatrists and therapists coordinate medication management, evidence-based therapy, and our creative and mind-body programming into one integrated plan, so the whole person is treated rather than a set of disconnected symptoms.
